Direct bookings straight to our website. Boom, they're in.
Barbara Wilkinson · Magnetic Glamping
Magnetic Glamping is eight eco-certified canvas tents in tropical gardens on Magnetic Island, a short ferry from Townsville.
At a glance
Marketing in one place, bookings in another, and weak analytics. Guests researched on the site, then booked on Booking.com.
RAMMP Agent rebuilt the site to walk guests to a direct booking: Book now near the top for the ready, a page for every tent for the curious.
+87.6% website traffic within two months of launch, and more guests booking direct and paying up front.
Source: Traffic: Magnetic Glamping's analytics, first two months after the June 2026 launch.
The problem
What was in the way
Every booking through Booking.com costs commission, and the money arrives late. Guests who did their research on the Magnetic Glamping site would often go back to Booking.com to book.
Booking.com are about two weeks behind instead of being in front.
What we did
How RAMMP fixed it
- 01 · The Moment of Truth / Pricing
Book now, above the fold
Guests who already want to stay can book from the first screen of the home page.
- 02 · The First Date / Website
A page for every tent
Each of the eight tents has its own page, so guests can look inside before they choose.
- 03
Answer the questions guests ask
How far it is from the ferry, and everything else guests want to know before they book, answered on the site, so nobody leaves to find out.
The result
What happened next
Website traffic rose 87.6% within two months of launch. Direct guests book and pay on the spot, so the money arrives before the stay instead of weeks after it.
It's making a difference from a financial cash flow point.

The analytics were not good for either of them, and they said, "We've got to do something more about the website. We've got to do something over here for marketing, over there for bookings." So it just didn't flow.
Showing people the steps easily to lead to a direct booking. That was what we wanted to do, have direct bookings.
We are focused strongly with RAMMP on getting direct bookings straight to our website. Boom, they're in. And they pay on the spot, so we're not trying to collect the daily rate all the time, whereas Booking.com are about two weeks behind instead of being in front. So it's making a difference from a financial cash flow point. Immediately, if they just want to book now, they have to have that button quite high up above the fold, so to speak, of the first homepage. And that's the sort of thing they did. Anna made sure with the AI process that it was easy for people to book if they want to book immediately, or if they wanted to go and see inside a particular safari tent, they did that. So it was easier.
Direct people, they mostly go to our site, have a look, and yeah, so that they can gradually teach them. It's a process for people wanting... They want to inquire, they want to know all about what's there, how far is it from the ferry and everything. And we don't want them then going back to Booking.com and booking.
